 Abortion

I was looking at Adara's and Shadow's little conversation about abortion and i thought it was a good idea to bring the topic here since i think many members here have their own opinion. ;)

The topics question

What do you all think about abortion? Do you think every females in the world should take abortion whenever they want to since it's their body? Do you think females should only take abortion if the baby is risking their health, or if they've been raped? Or should females not be allowed to take abortion at all?

Discuss everyone!

i dont believe in abortion, im not THAT much of a kindly person, and would laugh if my friend broke his arms, but i think its cruel to kill a living baby, if your raped. SO WHAT! its still your baby, you just dont let the father see him/her. if its risking the mothers health, so what. if its risking the BABIES health, then maybe, if the baby will die, then yes, if it will just be a frail and sickly child, then no.

I thought about addressing this issue here myself, thanks Mr. Xeno. :)

Before I start, I think I should say, "If you're a hardcore pro-choice person, please keep in mind, these are my views, and they will NOT change. Killing is killing to me no matter what the color."

Here goes: Most of you already know, or have come the the correct conclusion that I am a woman. ( Gasp! :) ) I am in fact, a woman with a two-year-old daughter. :) When I conceived it wasn't a surprise or a shock (I mean, come on, I had sex, uh, duh! right?)

I was scared, unsure of myself as a parent, unsure of my financial stability, shit, unsure of whether or not I was hallucinating the results. :P

Through this surreal experience, I never once considered abortion. Forget that people consider it a religious choice. It's just so wrong to go and kill someone, yes, SOMEONE. As much as pro-choice people like to dress it up, dice it up, or segregate the point and fact that who they are willing to kill is a human being, it is still a little person.

If someone is responsible or "mature" enough to have sex, they sure as hell better be responsible and mature enough to deal with a pregnancy that may in fact be a consequence of that choice. In all realities, (Though this doesn't apply to everyone who considers abortion or what not) I feel abortion is way to "fix" a mistake someone was foolish enough to NOT consider when being sexually intimate.

I understand that there's the whole, "It's a woman's body, why should a government or anyone else have a say in what she does to it."

Here's the clincher though pro-choice guys and gals. The person who's being killed and butchered isn't the woman; it's the child within her.

Does a woman have a right to kill a child of hers simply because it is within her body? Abortion in the US is legal all the way through the NINTH MONTH.

It's a woman's right to protect the child in her body, just as it is her right to protect herself. A child that she in fact created by making a choice.

It also seems to me that sometimes pro-choice people seem to fall back on the rape card. Here's my problem with that. Rape versus CONSENSUAL sex. See the difference? One is done with complete and utter consciousness while the other is FORCED on you. Why put the two in the same argument when one is OBVIOUSLY not like the other? Some rape victims get the "plan B" pill right off the bat, so, they may not get pregnant at all.

Of course, there are those, perhaps held captive who may become pregnant. But, please consider before killing the child; it wasn't their fault. That child did not force itself on you, why punish the child for the mistakes of the father?

So yeah, I don't approve of abortion. Never have, never will, and I will teach my daughter the same thing. She has a responsibility just as her mother before her and my mother before me. I was taught to be a responsible adult. If I consider myself an adult who can be sexually active, I better be that damned adult if I become pregnant.

Keep in mind though, there are TONS of ways to keep one's self from conceiving. So, perhaps it is best to AVOID becoming pregnant instead of having abortion be an option.

This is one of my questions for any pro-choicers; If you KNEW without any doubt that this child being killed off would feel, was scared, and sensed what was happening to it, would you still be pro-choice?

I know this all may sound aggressive. I apologize if it sounds like I'm attacking anyone with pro-choice views. I just feel that people have to say something for those kids who didn't have the chance.

Though here's another personal tid-bit I feel I should share. My little girl in her ninth month was in danger of dying in the womb. She was full-term, but I had yet to go into labor. My doctors gave me a choice (Though I scoff at this, as if I would consider putting my baby in danger) I either went through a c-section, or I went through normal labor, which could in fact have killed her.

The choice was obvious. I'd take the hit for my little girl any day. I can't seem to grasp why that loyalty doesn't exist in mothers or rather, women who decide to abort.

i wont go into too much detail because i can be very opinionated and arrogant at times,
but in regards to abortion, i just look at the state of England and how many complete cunts
(I'm sorry for the language) there are walking around, we are awash with a society of no hopers and people who lack in respect and moral fibre - these are the children in my opinion who should have never made it. Brought up by mothers/parents who should never have had the pregnancy due to their complete inability to be able to take on the sheer responsibility and duty to bring up their children in the right way.

People who have one nite stands, rape victims and in general women who just have no interest or intention of looking after their child should all have abortions, it's not right to bring a child into the world if you've got no time for it and cannot give it the attention and love it needs. You are just bringing yet another person into the world who will inevitably grow up to have a chip on their shoulder, extreme personal issues and no doubt proceed to live their life picking on innocent people just to makes themselves feel better.

Abortion is not About killing, it's about sparing someone the dramas and emotional turmoil of not being brought up correctly. There's too many bad people in the world, why add another to the list?

My apologies if i have offended in anyway.

Abortion... hmm... well, well... let's see...

Depends. Why I say it depends? I don't know. You ask me. And that explains it all.

...

...and if no-one got that message, then I'll explain it in different terms. Yes, killing is killing. But keeping a baby from rape is a sole remembrance of that horrific moment. But caring for the baby is a different matter. ANyone can do what anyone wants, but there's more to it than that.

To me, it's all in what the mother thinks. And that is what they say it that. And no, that last line, I did NOT copy from a video game a/o a book.

I'm with Dave. Child should be able to have stable and loving environment which cannot be always secured 'cos human stupidity.

Plus, as I stated, there are too many humans on this planet and we should take some damn responsibility of our breeding before it's too late.

And dividing cells ain't a human in my mind. It's a zygote until it becomes an embryo, so in my point of view you're not killing a baby but bunch of living cells.

Uhh, I'll post more when I'm not being awake at 6 am.
